It’s not every day that most people get to fly over stunning waterfalls and treetops with completely unobstructed, open-air views of one of the most biodiverse rainforests in the world.

However, if you’re feeling up to it, the 12-Cable Zipline Canopy Tour Over Waterfalls offers that in spades – perfect for any age group or experience level! If you’re physically comfortable with aa relatively challenging hike, then this is one of the most rewarding ziplining tours you could take!

There are different start times available in both the morning and afternoon, so you get to select the one that works best with your schedule. We chose the earliest morning option and were picked up at our hotel by their bus, which offered plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the scenery as we cruised on by.

Upon arrival, it was clear that we’d made a good decision, with friendly and well-organized staff there to coordinate everything smoothly (very clean facilities, as well!).

We headed up a quick hike to the zipline area, overlooking the stunning tropical canopy where we enjoyed 12 cables that stretch over almost nearly 1000 meters!

The zipline stops at a local Maleku Indigenous Village, where our guides took us to meet natives to the country, and learn about how they’ve lived off the land for thousands of years!

After, you get the choice to take a waterfall hike at no extra charge (though it is a bit challenging, so keep this in mind if you do decide to!). Once you reach the waterfall, you have some time to sit and soak it all in at your leisure.

As this tour is just 2 hours long, you have many different tour start times available to you, so you can select which one fits in best with your itinerary. Despite it being a shorter tour, I loved that they still came to pick us up at our hotel, which gave us more time to get ready.

The ride out to the park wasn’t long at all, which made it that much easier to fit into our schedule, too. Once we arrived, the staff was there to greet us and provide a safety briefing as we geared up in our harnesses and safety equipment, while our staff ensured we had put everything on correctly.

We then made the climb up to the first platform, which is the easiest and least intimidating of the lines – perfect for beginners or those who are a bit nervous about heights. After doing the first line, I had a smile on my face the entire time – after all, it’s not all the time that I get to see gorgeous nature views like these!

Our guide did a great job of pointing out different animals along the way which was really cool – even offering us some educational commentary about the incredibly diverse flora and fauna found here!

After we went through all the cables, we had some time to rest with bottled water and fresh tropical fruits they provided to us. What a great time this was!
