Located right in the heart of Costa Rica’s thick rainforests sits a playground designed to give you some of the most exhilarating views around, and plenty of thrills while doing it! The Amazing Mega Zipline (25 Lines) Over 11 Waterfalls tour had me soaring through the treetops, surrounded by lush greenery and even some exotic critters that define Costa Rica’s natural beauty.
Considering they even picked us up right from our hotel lobby, I’d consider this tour to be one of the most convenient, well-organized of its kind. Our guide was super helpful, answering all of our questions and offering us an easy-to-understand briefing of what to expect beforehand.
Upon arrival, we were also given a safety briefing to help us use the right techniques and avoid injury or accident. There are over 25 lines in total, ranging from all across the spectrum of experience levels, from beginner to seasoned zipliner!
They cross over a whopping 11 waterfalls, offering some of the most breathtaking views I’ve seen not only in Jaco, but probably the entire world. The bird’s-eye view of the canopy below gave me a perspective I know not many have the chance to experience, which was also really special.

The tour starts off with a scenic cruise through postcard-perfect landscapes, offering a kind of foreshadowing to the thrilling adventure that waits! They didn’t offer a complimentary pickup service from our hotel, but we did find it rather easy to find the facility (which is absolutely beautiful).
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff members, who offered us fresh fruits and plenty of bottled water to enjoy as we listened to the safety briefing.
A couple of people in my group had never gone ziplining before, and our guide did a great job at making them feel comfortable and showing them the right way to use the equipment. All necessary gear was included, and I could tell that they were serious about ensuring everything was properly-maintained.
Safety was definitely their first priority, but we had tons of fun zipping from 12 platforms and on 10 cables, with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and canopy! Our guides even pointed out Herradura Bay and Island, along with the Nicoya Gulf, which I’d never seen from this high up before!
The views were amazing, and I was grateful that after the ziplining, we were even able to purchase professional photos taken throughout the tour to capture the moment as a great memento. The Jaco: Canyoning and Canopy Tour is the perfect balance between adrenaline-fueled thrills and jaw-dropping natural beauty. For me, I find it to be a great activity for the entire family as there really is something for everyone (probably not younger children, however).
It’s perfect for couples and solo travelers, as well, ranking as one of the most complete tours of its kind. We met our guide at Jaco Walk, which was easy to access, where we boarded their air-conditioned bus and headed out to experience canyoning!
What they’ve done here is essentially combine ziplining, waterfall-rappelling, and hiking, along with the choice to go swimming and cliff jumping if you’re really feeling adventurous. Safety is the top priority, and they make sure everyone is taking proper precautions and using gear the right way.
We arrived at the base located just 20 minutes or so from Jaco, where we immediately took an ATV up for a beautiful mountain excursion. Once we got to the top, we took a quick little hike to the first zipline, doing a couple short runs to get used to them.
We then did a brief hike down to partake in some swimming and cliff jumping (different heights for everyone) if you want to cool down! We were definitely pretty parched and hungry after all of that adrenaline, and we took a little hike back to the truck to head to the tour offices.
Once we were back, we were given delicious fruit snacks and cold drinks to refuel! This was a fantastic tour with not a minute to even contemplate being bored, so don’t be afraid to try this adventure out!

It’s a great way to get out and enjoy the fresh air, surrounded by lush rainforests, nice people, and beautiful views. Judging by how affordable this experience is, I was actually surprised at the fact that they had all hotel pickups included so we didn’t have to worry about getting there ourselves.
The driver was super friendly, and even gave us some top-notch restaurant recommendations in Jaco for after the ziplining! I’d say this is the best family-friendly tour option – even for younger kids – and the friendliness of the staff is a big part of why.
When we got to the facility, the staff instructed us on how to use the ziplines and fitted us with all necessary equipment, including gloves and helmets. We then zipped through 10 cables and 14 different platforms, which I could’ve easily done all day long!
Seeing the lush landscape and the canopy in this way is indescribable – I can’t believe there exists a place as beautiful as this! I got to see tons of different local birds and other animals, that was amazing to see in their natural habitat just enjoying life.

I don’t know about you, but when I’m exploring the great outdoors, I’m not afraid to get a little messy! With the Jaco: 2-Hour Zipline and ATV Adventure, you should definitely expect to get muddy as you fly through the sky and splash through puddles in the middle of the beautiful rainforest!
It’s perfect for adrenaline junkies who are interested in not only zooming fast over land, but flying high through the rainforest canopies! I know that they have multiple pickup and meeting options, so make sure to communicate with your guide beforehand to work something convenient out for you and your group.
This 3-hour tour is packed full of fun, so make sure to wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Before we went to the zipline course, we had perhaps one of the funnest starts to any tour: riding a tractor!
