Starting things off with a bang, I knew I had to include one of my all-time favorite tours I’ve ever taken in the western United States. The Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park Day Tour from Las Vegas was the first time I realized just how much unique beauty this region of the US really boasted.

From dramatic gorgeous to charming little towns, it’s quickly become one of my preferred places to travel to let the stress melt away and really reconnect with Mother Nature.

The tour kicks off early in the morning with a convenient hotel pickup and drop-off, so make sure you have some comfy walking shoes at the ready and are waiting in the lobby at your pickup time!

Our transportation for the day was a very comfortable, spacious coach with wifi on board so we were able to send photos and videos of the amazing scenery in real-time to loved ones who couldn’t join us.

Driving through the Virgin River Gorge was unlike anything else I’ve ever done, with insane walls and cliffs on each side that looked almost unreal!

Zion National Park is a place I feel everyone should do at least once in their lives – particularly soaking in the magnificent views along the legendary Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway.

Our guide did a great job at driving safely while telling us all kinds of fun facts and interesting historical background about everywhere we passed, too.

I also enjoyed our stop at the Zion National Park Visitor Center to stretch our feet and take plenty of photos of the surrounding canyon walls!

Checkerboard Mesa was really a sight to behold, with its one-of-a-kind rock formations on the upper mountains, and was also where I took some of my favorite photos from this tour.

Bryce Canyon National Park does a great job of complementing and contrasting Zion, with all kinds of spires, hoodoos, and interesting rock formations (you can tell I learned a lot about that that day!).

Both places really were incredible, but our guide did a great job at making the history come to life, adding even more excitement throughout.

This next tour is a fantastic way to escape the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas, while still having you back to your hotel before it’s time to go to bed!

The Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks Small Group Tour is a treat for anyone interested in history, geology, or simply appreciates natural beauty. Thanks to the amazing storytelling regarding history and the films, along with the sights themselves, these 14 hours just flew by!

This tour starts off with a hotel pickup right at the crack of dawn, so be prepared to have everything ready and be in the lobby by the time your guide arrives!

Make sure to dress accordingly as the weather can get pretty extreme out there, from quite warm to full of snow! Our vehicle for the day was an air-conditioned SUV, though I do know that if your group size is a bit larger they switch to a mini-coach, instead.

The trip out to Bryce Canyon National Park was incredible – particularly when we got to Utah, which is filled with dramatic cliffside, gorges, and rock formations that look like they’re from another planet.

We learned how the National Park is known for its unique horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters carved from the Paunsaugunt Plateau, and for its colorful limestone rock, slot canyons, and the amazing spires, called hoodoos!

I’m just glad we had an expert guide there to lead the way, because it’s all a maze and I can see how it could be easy to get lost in if you’re by yourself!

Zion National Park is another incredible place known for its extreme landscapes with carved canyons and sky-high cliffs, with high planteaus to look out from, and much more.

I really appreciated the Kolob Arch, which is the biggest in the world, and seemed much bigger in person! At the Visitor Center, we also learned quite a bit more, and I picked up some cool souvenirs for those who weren’t able to come along!

  • Departure Time: 5:30 AM

There are plenty of ways to see the world, but if you can swing it, I always recommend opting for a small-group tour. The Zion and Bryce Canyon Small Group Tour from Las Vegas is the perfect example of why, offering a personalized, intimate experience that’s limited to just 14 participants.

If you’re looking for some peace and quiet and explore 2 of the most beautiful sites on planet Earth, look no further than this excursion.

This tour has one of the earliest start times, kicking things off at 5:30 am with a hotel pickup right from your lobby. Our vehicle was nice and comfortable, and fit all of us nicely with ample leg room, big windows for viewing, and rode nice and smooth (I lulled off to sleep in minutes!).

While I caught plenty of stunning views on the way back, I fell asleep on the way there, which was okay as it was still dark, anyway.

Learning about the park’s geology, local flora and fauna, and Native American heritage was also quite interesting, and I learned more “hidden gem” facts than I did in most of the other tours.

Known for its otherworldly landscape of hoodoo spires, scenic views along the park’s rim, and dramatic vistas at every turn, Bryce Canyon National Park was very welcoming.

Glowing in the warm hues of the sun, it was a paradise for any photographer or lover of the serene. It offers a nice balance of both thrills and relaxation, I would recommend the park to anyone to explore at least once!

Upon arrival at the iconic Zion National Park, we were greeted by magnificent sandstone cliffs, narrow slot canyons, and the ethereal waters of the Virgin River.

Our guide was so kind and friendly, explaining the background and significance of each landmark in a way that was easy to digest for all of us. We took off on a variety of different hikes, suited to different skill levels, ranging from beginner strolls to more challenging treks.

I’m admittedly a big nature lover, and even though I also thrive in big metropolitan areas, sometimes it can burn you out. When I was in Vegas, I was looking forward to getting away from those neon lights and into the fresh air over in Utah.

The Zion and Bryce Canyon Small Group Tour from Las Vegas was just the ticket, making for a streamlined, convenient experience where seemingly everything was taken into consideration by the guides.

Sure, you could definitely rent a car in Las Vegas and drive out to Zion and Bryce Canyon on your own, as the majority of the trip is just a straight road.

However, when you get into the parks, things can get a bit confusing, and with such intense weather and natural landscapes, it can be risky.

It’s much easier having a professional guide just pick you and your party right up from your hotel, and kick your feet up while enjoying the stunning scenes outside.

As we cruised along, our guide regaled us with all kinds of interesting anecdotes, historical and cultural facts, and interesting comments on the geology. We made plenty of stops to stretch our legs, use the restroom, and to take photos and videos along the way as well, which I did appreciate.

They included plenty of drinks, snacks, and fruits, so by the time we arrived to Zion National Park, I was fueled up and ready to explore the amazing canyons, rivers, and pools!

The creams and pinks of canyon walls, diverse ecosystems, indigenous cultures – all of them were so fascinating, and the commentary of our guide further enriched each park.

They even pointed out native plants and wildlife who we were lucky enough to catch, which I didn’t expect! It was a great way to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories with our small group, and I recommend it for anyone – even families with kids!

I thought the Emerald Pools, the Grotto, Temple of Sinawava, and Narrows were all amazing to experience in person – photos definitely do not do them justice!
