Las Vegas Food Tour Reviews

1. Small Group Walking Food Tour With Secret Food Tours in Las Vegas

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Departure: Plaza Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas
  • Departure Time: Between 11:00 AM & 5:00 PM
  • Includes: Food tour with 5 food stops, local professional guide, water, Secret Dish

Starting things off on the right foot, we have the Small-Group Walking Food Tour with Secret Food Tours in Las Vegas, which will take you through 5 different food stops.

You have the choice between either the Las Vegas Strip or Downtown Las Vegas – each of which offering something completely unique while focusing on the history and culture of each area within the city.

Vegas has a fascinating history, and with an expert local guide to lead you through its ins and outs, you can rest assured you’re in good hands. The Strip is the most well-known part of Vegas, bursting at the seams with glitz, glamor, the most popular hotels, and world-class shows and residencies.

Downtown Vegas (largely Fremont Street), offers a more “classic” vibe, where it feels like you’re transported back in time with the historic buildings and entertainment options. Whether you’re interested in trying some of the best the Strip has to offer or prefer sampling a different side of Vegas, you’ll find it here.

I’ve been on the Strip many times, but I have to say, walking around with a mild hangover and a piece of greasy pizza in hand definitely doesn’t do this part of Vegas justice in terms of culinary offerings.

This tour did a great job of reinventing the idea I had of the Strip, with our guide taking us to a wide array of some of the most delicious eateries I’ve tried in my life – not just in Vegas.

Our guide was super funny and engaging, offering background info about chefs and specific dishes, explaining how the city’s evolved from basic casino buffets to a top-notch foodie destination.

Downtown Vegas has similar beginnings, with its budget buffets and 99-cent cocktails that have grown to become a fascinating food scene filled with fine dining, celebrity chefs, and a melting pot of flavors.

Learn about the significance of showroom dining and how fine dining has only grown in popularity here, with your passionate guide storytelling in a linear, digestible way (no pun intended).

2. Original Downtown Vegas Foodie Tour by Taste Buzz

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Departure: 201 N 3rd St, Las Vegas
  • Departure Time: 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM
  • Includes: Casual walking, sightseeing, and food tasting tour in Downtown Vegas (Fremont Street), Lunch or dinner, Insider tips on where the locals go to eat, drink, and hang out, Souvenir digital photo of your food tour

This next tour takes you away from the Strip for a while, focusing on the grittier, more quirky historic past of Vegas: downtown/Fremont Street. The Original Downtown Vegas Foodie Tour by Taste Buzz is one of the best to do it, taking you on a comprehensive tasting tour far beyond the overhyped spots most tourists focus on.

If you want to see more than celebrity chef spots and all-you-can-eat buffets (not that there’s anything wrong with either one), this tour should be on your list. If you’re like me and get excited over a perfectly executed burger or a delicious ramen from an unassuming hole-in-the-wall, you’ll love this excursion.

The 3-hour tour offers a few different meetup spots as well as plenty of departure times to make it convenient, even if you already have a busy day scheduled. After all, it’s the perfect alternative to going out for lunch or dinner, and you’ll get to try much more!

Whether you’re a foodie or are just interested in exploring different parts of Vegas outside of the Strip, you’re going to have a great time. Our guide took us around to see and learn about Fremont Street, Fremont East, and the Downtown Container Park, making carefully selected stops for food tastings along the way.

As if that weren’t fun enough already, the tour was completely private so it was literally just me and my guide – I got to hear all kinds of insider tips and historical accounts!

We went to have delicious BBQ from a food truck, some hidden-gem Thai dishes (don’t miss these crab and pork wontons!), gourmet sandwiches, and a delicious dessert to top it off. My guide was fantastic, taking photos for me in front of different landmarks, so I could take some great mementos home with me!

3. Taste the Vegas Strip: A Local’s Food Tour Experience

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Departure: 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas
  • Departure Time: 12:00 PM, 5:00 PM
  • Includes: Walking, sightseeing, and food tasting tour of the Las Vegas Strip, lunch, insider tips on where the locals go to eat, drink, and socialize, souvenir digital photo of your food tour, all fees and taxes

They say “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” and while I can’t promise the calories won’t follow you back home, there’s no need to worry about anyone judging you for partaking in “excess”.

In fact, the Taste the Las Vegas Strip- A Locals Tour leans into that, offering a taste of the city that’s evolved far beyond the all-you-can-eat-buffets and late-night quesadillas.

I guarantee that even if you’ve been on other food tours before, this one will show you eateries and dishes you’ve never tried before, in a seamless excursion including top-notch history and culture stops along the way.

With a few different start times available, the 3-hour tour is easy to fit into a busy schedule, kicking off at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. If you’re a history nerd, you don’t even have to be a foodie to fall in love with this tour.

It’s one of the food tours that covers a ton of Vegas’ history and culture, with our guide sharing photos and explanations as we strolled along between each stop.

For those with a sweet tooth, you’ll love getting to see the famous Bellagio Chocolate Fountain, with over a literal ton of chocolate flowing in all its glory. Of course, you don’t have to torture yourself by just looking – you’ll get the chance to try plenty of sweet treats inside Bellagio’s famous pastry shop.

Next up was the Flamingo Hotel, which was the perfect little escape from the city, soaking in tranquil nature scenes featured in the Flamingo Habitat.

I had a ton of fun checking out The LINQ, which you could easily pass all week at, complete with the iconic observation wheel, and a ton of different food options. There’s no need to gamble on where to get some good food, because this tour has your back.

4. Arts District Sightseeing and Foodie Tour by Taste Buzz

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Departure: 1506 S Main St, Las Vegas
  • Departure Time: 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM
  • Includes: A complete cultural, sightseeing, and food-tasting tour of the Arts District, Lunch or dinner, Insider tips on where the locals go to eat, drink, and hang out, Souvenir digital photo of your food tour

Perhaps you’ve already explored the Strip or Downtown Las Vegas and are looking for something beyond these two areas of the city. If you’re looking for an up-and-coming district with a cultural explosion of galleries, quirky shops, and plenty of interesting eats, look no further than the Arts District.

The Arts District Sightseeing and Foodie Tour by Taste Buzz is the perfect way to explore it, with plenty of stops at fantastic small eateries and hidden gems. We met right on Main Street, which is super easy to get to even if you’re staying on the Strip – it’s right next to Downtown Vegas, however, so bonus points if you’re staying around there.

Right when we met up with our guide I knew we were in for a real treat – she was very welcoming and energetic, and clearly had a genuine passion for all things “Vegas” and the local food. This tour really provided a clear “before and after” for me in terms of how I saw Vegas – not just as the glitzy, hedonistic paradise but as a real community coming together to create and enjoy great art and food.

The BBQ spot we went to first was absolutely incredible, with melt-in-your-mouth dishes that even the snobbiest barbecue-lover will enjoy. We washed it all down with some local brews at a cool gastropub before trying the “top 3” margaritas at an interesting mezcal stop (make sure to add this onto your tour if that’s of interest).

We took a moment to digest by strolling through a couple art galleries and boutiques before going to one of the infamous Vegas wedding chapels!

I can’t recommend this tour enough if you’re looking for restaurants owned by small entrepreneurs – it helps support the community and focus on delicious, affordable eats! Oh, and if you like spicy food, this is one of the best options around!

5. Downtown Las Vegas Walking Food Tour With Secret Food Tours

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 3 hours to 3.5 hours
  • Departure: Plaza Hotel & Casino, 1 N Main St, Las Vegas
  • Departure Time: 11:30 AM & 3:30 PM
  • Includes: Lobster Montidito, Monthly Charity Pizza, Elote Dog, Shrimp Cocktail, Chocolate Bite, Musubi/Teriyaki, Delicious Secret Dish!

Last but certainly not least is the Downtown Las Vegas Walking Food Tour with Secret Food Tours, which showcases the wide variety of food in the lesser-visited parts of the city.

If it’s your first day in Vegas, I highly recommend booking this tour so you maximize the tips from your guide and get to return to places that caught your attention on the trip. Even if you’ve gone on another downtown tour, you’re bound to see places and try dishes you haven’t seen or sampled before.

Everyone’s first time in Vegas involves a bit of casinos and overpriced cocktails, but as long as you know where to look, you’ll find some incredible food, as well. This tour starts off at the Plaza Hotel, with an expert local guide there to show you all the best spots downtown has to offer.

This itinerary highlights the “old” Vegas and the flavors that built it long before celebrity chefs and billion-dollar resorts took over. Plan on walking through old-school Fremont Street complete with neon relics and other cool gems, with your guide filling you in on its past – the mobsters, gamblers, and dreamers that made the desert into something that probably shouldn’t exist.

The food is classic and unexpected, kicking things off with some samples in tribute to Evel Knievel and Elvis Presley! The Dirty Dog is indeed social media-famous but I was blown away by just how juicy and delicious the flavors were.

If you like lobster rolls, tacos, and pies, or simply want to check out eateries you wouldn’t have found on your own, this tour is for you!
