First on the list is the Jack Daniel’s Distillery Tour, Tasting and Lynchburg Visit, which is one of the most premium tasting experiences I’ve had. Whether you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the day, or simply want a more comprehensive tour than most offer, you’re in the right place.

Head south to Lunchburg, which is the charming and legendary home of none other than Jack Daniel’s. We set off at 10:00 am in a comfortable, spacious bus with plenty of leg room and big windows for viewing the lovely countryside as our guide shared fun road-trip stories and some fun facts about whiskey.

Onboard we had a cooler with ice, bottled water, and they even included ponchos (you can bring your own drinks for the drive if you’d like). Yes, the drive out is significant, but it’s well worth the experience of visiting one of the most famous distilleries in the world!

Upon arrival to the distillery grounds, we joined the official Jack Daniel’s tour, exploring historic buildings, the charcoal-mellowing process, shifting barrel shades, and so much more.

Of course, we also hit the tasting room to try some of the brand’s classics while the staff shared all kinds of insight and lore. They did a great job of bringing character, history, and bits you’d truly miss out without this specific tour.

Even if you wouldn’t consider yourself a hardcore whiskey aficionado, you’re sure to enjoy gaining a deeper understanding of Tennessee’s unique spirit culture, how Jack Daniel’s created a legacy, and why this location matters so much. Get ready to sip, learn, and enjoy this unique part of history!

There’s not even a moment of time for boredom with guides and staff like these, where you’ll learn about the whiskey-making process and take time to sample rarities. I’m talking about a proper BTS experience, where you get to smell the mash, try limited releases, and more.

Next up, is the Nashville to Jack Daniel’s Distillery Bus Tour + Whiskey Tastings, which is of the best value tours of its kind! With transport, distillery admission and tastings all included, you don’t have to worry about the extra costs or inconveniences stacking up.

This is one of the most authentic tours I’ve had of its kind, with guides who are locals but seriously passionate about all things Tennessee whiskey!

This tour is a bit more flexible when it comes to start times, which is particularly convenient if you’re not an early riser! They were also understanding when it came to meetup spots, though they did limit it to Downtown Nashville, which worked perfectly for us.

We met our guide and hopped onboard, which was smooth and easy, coming with coolers with ice for your use, as well! The Jack and Back tour we participated in took us to some areas I hadn’t seen before, like through the quaint town of Shelbyville which is known for the Tennessee Walking Horse.

The distillery tour was seamless, with great organization and professionalism! We learned a ton about the history of whiskey, and I could tell that even the members of my group who weren’t huge whiskey fans were drawn in.

I appreciated that this tour included some extra leisure time in Lynchburg, which I thought was so lovely and significantly different than Nashville! We took the opportunity to grab some lunch and even had some time to grab some souvenirs in the form of some whiskey bottles that can only be found here in TN!

Seeing as it’s so convenient, you’ll get to visit an impressive 4 local breweries and craft beer spots to maximize your insight and expand your horizons.

As this tour clocks in at around 2 hours long, there are plenty of different start times over the afternoon and evening, for your convenience. We met our guide in downtown Nashville and hopped into our golf cart, which was comfortable, but this is heavily dependant on the weather!

As we cruised along, our guide offered some intriguing historical and cultural commentary about the city and how it related back to the whiskey scene.

At every single stop, we got to have some delicious beer flights, and it allowed me the chance to try styles I probably wouldn’t have, otherwise. This is a great way to learn about which beers you like, as well as try some whiskeys we’d never even heard of.

Do yourself a favor and try the root beer shot – it’s life-changing for the best! Each stop was obviously selected by an expert, and I had to go back to visit a couple of them again because they were so good!

Our driver weaved expertly through the streets while making sure we were all safe and comfortable, regaling us with funny historical facts and stories! Expect to check out plenty of places you wouldn’t have explored had it not been in this guide!
