Starting things off on the right foot, is the Historical Singapore Bike Tour on Full-Sized Bicycles experience. Clocking in at 4 hours, it’s the perfect length of time to really get a good layout of the metropolis and dive right into its culture and history.

Covering around 10 miles with careful attention to pacing, you’ll get to see tons of landmarks with an expert guide there to share fun facts and interesting stories about them as you cruise along.

This one starts off at 8:30 am and finishes around lunchtime, which is perfect as things can get a bit hot and humid in Singapore after this time frame. It’s also a nice way to spend a morning without conflicting with any afternoon or evening plans you may have.

Start by meeting your guide at the tour offices, and get fitted to a bike that’s adjusted to your height and weight for your comfort and safety. Should you have any luggage or extra bags with you, you can store them in their complimentary lockers to keep your belongings safe while you do your bike tour.

Prepare to start out by traveling to the Malay district of Kampong Glam, which features the impressive Sultan Mosque and charming streets that have been around for hundreds of years!

We passed plenty of interesting places and landmarks I hadn’t seen on walking tours, so it was cool to experience a different aspect of Singapore. Heading to the Singapore River was definitely a highlight for me, with beautiful natural views, as well as plenty of interesting restaurants, clubs, bars, and more.

In Chinatown, we also learned about their culture and architecture, stopping to refuel at a cute little coffee shop for some drinks and snacks! Plan on seeing other cool spots like the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade, their Formula 1 racetrack, and much more!

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Departure: Block 462 Crawford Ln, #01-57, Singapore 190462

Are you looking for a fun nighttime activity that doesn’t involve going to dinner, a bar, or a club? Perhaps you’d really like to see Singapore come alive during the night but don’t want to be stuck inside? If that sounds like you at all, do yourself a favor and check out the fantastic Marina Bay Night Cycling Tour!

Starting off at 7:00 pm, it’s the perfect time to enjoy Singapore after the sun goes down without going on too late. There’s no need to worry about being unsafe at night as you have your local guide there to keep an eye on everyone and lead you on the safest paths.

Start out by meeting your guide at the tour offices, where you’ll be fitted properly for a bike and helmet to use, as well as offered bottled water and a poncho (if weather requires it).

Starting in the iconic Marina Bay area, you’ll cycle past the futuristic Gardens by the Bay, which is impressive as-is during the daytime. However, at night, the glowing vibrant colors of the Supertree Grove towering above us are simply magical.

Pedal past the Marina Bay Sands, the icon of Singapore’s more “luxe” side, and make sure to catch the Singapore Flyer standing tall over the city.

As you explore both the calmer and more popular areas of the city, your guide will share fascinating stories about its transformation from a colonial port to a global center with you and the rest of your small group.

Not to mention, our guide gave us some great recommendations of where to go to explore and try some great food on our own later on.

3. Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 4 hours
  • Departure: 20 Republic Ave, Singapore 038970
  • Departure Time: 9:00 AM
  • Includes: Licensed local tour guide, use of bike, light refreshment, luggage storage with advance notice, disposable poncho, use of helmet

This next tour perfectly balances adventure, culture, and history, showing off Singapore’s dynamic transformation from a varied colonial past to its ultra-modern present.

While the iconic skyline is definitely worth exploring (and you will a bit on this tour), this experience takes you a bit beyond that for a more immersive look at the vibrant and varied neighborhoods.

If you really want to get into the soul of Singapore up close and personal, a cycling tour is just the ticket while maximizing your time.

One thing that I really loved about this tour was the incredible attention to detail and great pacing, throughout. Before we even set off on our tour, they offered space for us to safely store our luggage as well as a proper fitting of a bike and helmet.

Our guide did a great job of personalizing our tour as we went along, taking our feedback and specific interests into consideration instead of leaving it as a strict, cookie-cutter tour.

We got to stop and have a few bites to eat, though my favorite was at the Hawker Center Satay Club, which was absolutely delicious. We also had a tasty drink after Chinatown, which was very much needed after our biking journey!

However, thanks to the great pacing and many different stops we took, I never felt tired, with the guide keeping our interest throughout the entire time.

Our tour started out in the morning and while the temperature was nice and agreeable, it did start to pour rain not long after we started, making me grateful we had the ponchos they gave us!

As we pedaled along, we made regular stops while our guide told us about the history and other interesting stories about each place. Moreover, he provided us with a ton of useful tips on what to see and where to go outside of this tour, which we did do!

4. Singapore Food & Bike Tour – Katong

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 4 hours
  • Departure: 201 Old Airport Rd, Dakota MRT Station, Singapore 397973
  • Departure Time: 9:00 AM
  • Includes: Snacks and food, use of bike, guided by licensed local tour guide

Next up is some of the most fun I’ve ever had on a tour, with some of the tastiest food I’ve ever eaten (even in Singapore, and that’s really saying something!).

The Singapore Food & Bike Tour – Katong is unique in many ways, showcasing Peranakan culture, which combines elements of both Malay and Chinese culture. Katong is a food district that locals know never disappoints when it comes to tasty cuisine, particularly known for the infamous Katong Iaksa spicy noodle soup!

Katong, along with Joo Chiat, were both part of a charming little seaside village and today has developed into one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the world, with colorful shophouses, street art, parks, and much more.

However, if it’s your first time there, I highly recommend having a local show you around and take you to the best spots as they’re not always obvious to tourists. This 4-hour tour does exactly that, starting off in the morning so you can get properly matched with a bike that suits you nicely.

This was my first time really exploring this area of Singapore and I instantly fell in love with it, with our friendly local guide sharing fascinating historical commentary and anecdotes to enrich the experience.

He lead us around with confidence, offering an equal amount of historical content as well as information and cultural relevance to the foods we were sampling. Speaking of food, we got to try an array of mouthwatering Malay and Indian dishes at markets, food centres, and even tried a cool place on the beach!

In total, you can expect to try around 8 different dishes including dumplings, laksa, curry puffs, cakes, and a whole lot more! If you want to venture into the more non-touristy areas of the city, this is one of the best food tours currently out there.

5. Singapore – Bike Adventure Beyond the Concrete Jungle

Tour Highlights:

  • Duration: 5 hours
  • Departure: GoCycling @ Punggol Park, 11 Hougang Ave 10, Singapore 538768
  • Departure Time: 8:30 AM
  • Includes: Use of bicycle, bike helmet, free bandana, bottled water

As you likely already know, Singapore is one of the most popular cities if you want to be able to experience that bustling metropolis lifestyle with a nice balance of nature.

However, many tourists don’t get to that latter part, as there’s simply so much to do amongst the skyscrapers and other manmade structures. With the Singapore – Bike Adventure Beyond the Concrete Jungle tour, you get to breathe in that fresh air and soak up the pristine nature all around you.

Lasting 5 hours, this tour is a lovely respite amongst the chaos that cities can bring, with a casual bike ride around all kinds of different reservoirs, flora, and fauna.

With a local guide who knows the area like the back of their hand, you’ll learn and see so much of Singapore that you likely wouldn’t have had the chance to do, otherwise.

Start your tour in the morning to make the most of the nicer weather, meeting up at the tour office to get properly fitted for your bike and bike helmet.

They provided us with a complimentary bandana and bottled water to ensure our comfort, though cruising on our bikes offered just the right amount of refreshing breeze.

As most of the journey is in the countryside, it is completely level, but it is still a significant distance, so make sure you’re okay with that. We arrived at the Pasir Ris Park, where we pedaled around and enjoyed the lovely sea views – complete with sightings of monitor lizards and otters!

After walking the beautiful mangrove boardwalk, we headed to the Lorong Halus Wetland filled with butterflies and dragonflies before making our way to Coney Island Park.

All in all, it was a day that offered exercise and nature appreciation in a relaxing way with great company. I’m sure to do this one again next time I’m here!
